Primer Application

Apply one coat of DRYKOPRIMER AQUA PRO or DRYKOPRIMER ECO and wait for at least 6 hours before bonding the membranes and providing adequate reinforcement to drains and emerging pipes.

Application

The material should be properly heated until it reaches a workable fluidity, using certified equipment while adhering to relevant safety standards and using appropriate bundles for contact with hot asphalt.

In-Situ Molded Waterproofing

Apply a uniform, thin layer using a bundle across the entire area to be waterproofed. Support the specific reinforcement for tensile strength and apply additional layers until the recommended consumption is reached.

Membrane Bonding

Fully unroll the first membrane in the center of the area, align it, and then re-roll it. Using a bundle as a spreader, apply a uniform layer on the side of the DRYKOMANTA PRO and the primed substrate. On the substrate, apply layers no more than 1 meter away from the roll.

Press from the center to the edges to remove excess and possible air bubbles. Begin application at critical points such as drains, joints, and pipes. Always start from the lowest point of the areas (drains and outlets). Apply the membrane in the opposite direction to the water slope. Repeat the operation, overlapping 10 cm along the entire length of the membrane and 20 cm at the top, ensuring adhesion between them using a spatula, trowel (beveling), or hot asphalt.

The floor membrane should rise 10 cm up the skirting board, and the skirting board membrane should overlap the floor membrane by 10 cm. Reinforce around drains and emerging pipes. Embed into vertical planes and other finishes and details according to the project.

Leak Test

After completing the waterproofing, perform a leak test for 72 hours.

Mechanical Protection

Separator Layer

The separator layer prevents the stresses from the slab and the expansion and contraction stresses of the mechanical protection mortar from acting directly on the waterproofing. Place a DRYKO SEPARATOR LAYER over the waterproofing and then execute the mechanical protection of the area as specified in the project.

Horizontal Application

We recommend mechanical protection using a 1:4 mix with DRYKOFIX CHAPISCO in the mixing water, with a minimum thickness of 3 cm. If the mechanical protection is the finished floor, create the mortar in sections no larger than 2 m x 2 m, filled with asphalt mastic and DRYKO EMUL.

Vertical Application

Remove the polyethylene film from the asphalt membrane and apply a 1:3 cement and medium sand splash coat, then a 1:4 troweled mortar mix of cement and medium sand, both using mixing water with 1 volume of DRYKOFIX CHAPISCO adhesive emulsion. The mortar should be reinforced with plastic mesh, extending 10 cm above the asphalt membrane. Adhesive mortar can also be used as a splash coat.

Recommendations

• Follow the scope, details, and finishes as per the project.
• Do not apply the product in rainy weather or on a wet substrate.
• ASFOX PRO does not have UV resistance and should be protected immediately after leak tests.
• Keep the asphalt heating equipment near the application area to maintain temperature and reduce transportation risks.
• We recommend that our products be applied by trained professionals specialized in waterproofing activities.

Storage Instructions

Valid for 24 months from the date of manufacture if storage guidelines are followed.

Store in a covered, dry, and ventilated area, away from heat sources, in environments with temperatures not exceeding 30°C.

• Working with high temperatures requires adherence to safety regulations established by competent authorities and the use of appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to ensure the safety of employees.
• Handle with care. Avoid strong impacts and contact with sharp surfaces. In enclosed spaces, create forced ventilation if necessary. For more information on handling and safety, refer to the product’s Safety Data Sheet (SDS), available on our website – www.dryko.com.br.
• Dispose of the contents/container at an approved waste treatment and disposal facility. Do not reuse the packaging.
