DENGUE MOSQUITO ON CONSTRUCTION SITES.

This summer, the care with dengue should be even greater. It is at this time that, in addition to intense heat, rains become more frequent, creating the ideal environment for the reproduction of Aedes Aegypti, which, in addition to dengue, can also transmit the chikungunya and zika viruses.

The first causes symptoms similar to dengue: fever, malaise, body aches, headache, apathy and tiredness. The difference is that this virus causes inflammation in the joints, with severe pain, and the swelling is accompanied by redness and local heat.

Those who acquire Zika, on the other hand, have fever, joint and muscle pain, as well as conjunctivitis and red spots on the skin. The situation is more serious when pregnant women are infected, as the virus is related to the birth of babies with microcephaly.

It is everyone’s responsibility to prevent these diseases from proliferating, including construction site workers, where there are places that can become breeding grounds for the mosquito.

Guide employees so that they do not leave rubbish and other disposable materials lying around, drain standing water, stretch the protective tarps well to avoid puddles and keep the water tanks well sealed.

In addition, it is important to inspect elevator rails and shafts frequently. If a mosquito outbreak is found, notify your city’s public administration as soon as possible so that appropriate action can be taken.
