GUTTERS AND RUFFLES

Professionals working in civil construction are well aware of the importance of gutters and flashings. These items are strong allies of waterproofing.

Gutters are channels that have the function of capturing rainwater that flows through the roofs. They serve to protect the entire structure of the house such as internal and external painting, end the splash of water on balconies and garages, and also serve to reuse rainwater.

The material must be well dimensioned according to the roof area, be well installed and have constant maintenance, preventing leaves and branches from interfering with the water flow.

There are several types of rails, each with specific functions. When choosing the gutter for your building, remember that it varies according to the particularities of the roof. Take into account the type of tile, length, water fall, among other factors.

The flashings, in turn, are fixed and molded parts in specified places, in order to prevent rainwater from seeping into the construction, avoiding future problems.

There are two types of flashings, the backrest (which is applied between the meeting of the roof with the masonry), and the cover (applied at the junction between the waters on the roof).

Use gutters and flashings in your work, and do not forget the waterproofing (blankets, asphalt tapes, membranes, etc.). Together, these products will guarantee watertightness and consequently greater durability for your work.

DRYKO has a complete line of waterproofing products that can pair with the roof elements and ensure safe and efficient waterproofing.
